LE GRAND MAINE & GRAND PLACE - Two Holiday homes to rent in southwest France

Le Grand Maine front view

Le Grand Maine is situated in a very quiet, tranquil and rural location,
800M outside of the village of Villeneuve-de-Duras, Aquitaine in South Western France. The House is surrounded by vines and plum trees and located in a hectare of mature grounds.
The design of the house is a typical  design for the region...a 'Maison sous sol' or house with garage/celler.The houses are designed for 1st floor living and typically have a balcony. The apartment forms the 1st floor of our home.
Although  secluded, Le Grand Maine is only 8 km from the small town of Duras with it’s imposing Chateau, and has a full range of shops, a Supermarket, Chemist, Doctors, Dentists, Bars and Restaurants. The popular Bastide town of Ste Foy la Grande is only 10 km away, its weekly market is one of the best in the region.
The house is only 10 minutes from the Dordogne region, which makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. We are lucky to have the most stunning countryside along with beautiful chateaux, prehistoric caves. The local night markets are also a lovely way to enjoy the French ambiance.

This bright and spacious self contained apartment is  on the 1st floor of our house and  sleeps six in comfort, with one King sized double and two twin bedrooms. The second bedroom has the option to be a super-king size as the singles can clip together, should this be desired.   The kitchen/breakfast room area is very well equipped, and the living room has (UK) Satellite TV,  DVD/CD player.
Free WiFi is provided.

Our aim has been to provide accommodation we would be delighted to say in ourselves if it were our holiday.  Therefore, we have tried to make the accommodation comfortable and welcoming.
This is a truly peaceful and tranquil location. Ideal for 'getting away from it all' and winding down, both for couples or as a family.
